    Create a free AssentRepo account

    Sign up with Google or email. You'll land in the dashboard.

    Add your Shopify store as a site

    Click ‘New site', enter your store name and allowed origin (e.g. https://acme.myshopify.com and your custom domain). You'll get a site key that starts with chub_.

    Paste the snippet into theme.liquid

    In Shopify admin: Online Store → Themes → ⋯ → Edit code → Layout → theme.liquid. Paste the script tag from above right before </head>. Save.

    Publish & verify

    Open your store in an incognito window — the banner appears. Click Accept, then check the AssentRepo dashboard: your consent event shows up within seconds.
